An exciting Banking FinTech firm who are revolutionising the space with their cloud-hosted platform have created a new opportunity for a skilled QA Engineer to join their London office and play a pivotal role for the firm in a time of genuine growth.
This new full-time, permanent position will see the successful candidate join their team in delivering a highly scalable and distributed microservice solution.
This excellent new opportunity would suit a QA / Testing professional skilled in both automated and manual testing, coming from a financial services or FinTech background who has 5+ years’ experience.


Core Responsibilities

 
  • Take a lead in developing comprehensive end-to-end test strategies tailored to the application's specific requirements
  • Creation of test plans that outline test scenarios, test cases, and testing timelines
  • Maintain complete test coverage and meeting functional and non-functional requirements
  • Manage functional, regression, integration, and performance tests
  • Record and document test results, defects, and issues using testing tools and Azure DevOps
  • Use Azure DevOps to link defects with specific test cases and user stories
  • Working closely with the dev team to identify opportunities for test automation
  • Developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright and other automation frameworks

Qualifications
 
  • 5 years+ experience in a dedicated QA or Testing role involving web applications and Api’s
  • Working background in Financial Services, FinTech, Banking or similar
  • Test automation experience including Gherkin and/or Playwright
  • Strong SQL skills – to include queries, against Microsoft SQL Server, performing data analysis
  • Knowledge of Azure and microservice architectures
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and bug tracking tools
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for defect management, logging, tracking, and reporting
  • Demonstrable knowledge of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
