Role Purpose:

Take ownership of category management strategy and supplier relationships to optimize third-party spend and deliver substantial cost savings. This role will focus on managing the HR (Recruitment, Temporary Labour, Pension, Payroll, Benefits) and Professional Services (Accounting, Audit, Tax, Legal, Consultancy) categories, while also supporting additional spend areas where necessary.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, developing and executing category plans to ensure Procurement is recognized as a center of excellence. A key aspect of the role involves leading a global savings program within your category portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Head of Procurement, managing category strategy and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities while ensuring adherence to procurement policies and governance.
  • Act as a strategic business partner, building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers to enhance collaboration and value delivery.
  • Lead the end-to-end sourcing process, including negotiations, tender management, and contract finalization.
  • Develop and implement category strategies that support business objectives, ensuring cost efficiency and process improvements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and buying channel adherence, providing actionable insights to ensure targets are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support procurement projects and drive operational excellence.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven expertise in managing HR, Professional Services, or similar spend categories.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and driving procurement efficiencies.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with experience in contract negotiations.
  • Analytical abilities and experience using procurement tools (Coupa preferred) to drive decision-making and process improvements.
  • MCIPs qualification is advantageous, but not mandatory.
