Lead Data Engineer - City of London – £85,000 -£90,000 + Bonus
Harrington Starr is excited to be searching for a Lead Data Engineer in London to join a Financial Services enterprise who has a dominant foothold in the Equity Market. Our client has the perfect blend of traditional trading values and access to cutting-edge technology.
You will be spearheading the Data Product strategy for the business, with the support of a team of 2 direct reports. This will be a hybrid role with 3days a week on site in the London office.
The right candidate for this role will not only be strong technically from a hands-on perspective, but also a strong communicator who can engage with senior stakeholders in the business and manage their team effectively.

What are we looking for?
- Strong exposure to Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSMS)
- 4+ years’ experience in a MI/BI role
- Leadership skills – mentored or managed colleagues before
- Extremely comfortable with MS SQL Server
- Prior experience working with Data warehouses involving large datasets
- Visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau)
- Cloud experience (Especially AWS, S3)
- Experience with Python or Powershell
- Financial Services or similar regulated environment (Kimball modeling technique ideally)
- Building robust ETL pipelines
